
Another banner season for EFSC athletics
Eastern Florida State College athletics had another successful season as all 13 programs made it to the postseason for the first time.
The Titans had seven of those teams compete in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament this season with the men's soccer team reaching the semifinals while the men's tennis, women's tennis and the women's golf programs all finished in the top 10 in the nation.
The men's soccer won 16 games which ties the 2019 season for most wins in program history and made it to the national tournament semifinals for just the fourth time in program history. The team won the Region 8 title as well as the Southeast District Championship to advance to the national tournament.
The women's tennis team was an at-large team into the national tournament and went on to finish fifth overall for the third time in six seasons as three singles players reached the semifinals.
The men's tennis team placed sixth at the national tournament as Alberto Perez Mellado made it to the finals of the national tournament at No. 2 singles, falling in the finals.
The women's golf team in eighth place as Mila Tang placed 12th overall in the tournament in Garden City, Kansas.
The women's cross country team finished 11th in the half marathon and placed 21st in the cross country national tournament while the men's cross country team was 16th in the half marathon and placed 22nd in the cross country national meet.
The men's golf team finished 19th overall in the nation.
