The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team defeated Northeast Mississippi Community College Tuesday afternoon at the Lady Jets Holiday Classic in Americus, Georgia.
The 23rd ranked Titans went on a 15-3 run to finish the first quarter up 11 and went on to post the 69-52 victory. Eastern Florida State College finished the tournament with a win and heads home 13-4 on the season.
The Titans continued to extend the lead in the second quarter and headed to halftime with a 39-20 lead. Eastern Florida State College would come out in the third quarter and extend the lead to 60-32 heading to the fourth quarter.
Karen Nimo came off the bench to score a team-high 21 points, hitting four 3-pointers. Teammate E'Zaria Adams finished with 13 points while Tamara Elliot had 10 in the win.
Eastern Florida State College will return to Citrus Conference play on Saturday, traveling to Florida Southwestern State College for a battle of the top teams in the conference. Saturday's game will tip off at 2 p.m. and you can watch the game live online at fswbucs.com/fswbucslive
