The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team won its third straight conference game, defeating St. Petersburg College Monday at Titan Field House.
The 23rd ranked Titans improved to 11-2 overall and 4-1 in the Citrus Conference with a 75-40 victory.
After a tight first quarter that saw freshman Jalei O'Neal score 10 of the team's 14 points, Eastern Florida State College used a strong defense to hold St. Petersburg College to just three points in the second quarter and went into the locker room with a 31-15 halftime lead.
The third quarter saw St. Petersburg cut the lead to 10 after a 6-0 run but the Titans would finish the quarter on an 6-1 run to head to the fourth quarter with a 16-point lead.
The fourth quarter was all EFSC as they would score 28 points to pull away for the easy win. Karen Nimo scored seven of her eight points in the fourth quarter.
O'Neal finished with a game-high 19 points and grabbed six rebounds with two steals and two assists. Teammate Nia Santiago scored 12 points and had four steals while E'Zaria Adams had 10 points.
Eastern Florida State College will wrap up the first round of conference play on Wednesday night, traveling to Santa Fe College. Wednesday's game will begin at 5:30 p.m.
