Baseball team beats Palm Beach State
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team picked up a road win on Tuesday, defeating Palm Beach State College.
The Titans, who are 7-2 on the season, scored 12 runs on 14 hits as they won 12-6 for their seventh win of the season.
Down 1-0, the Titans scored three times in the second inning and added a run in the top of the fourth to lead 4-1. But Palm Beach State College scored three times in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game. Three runs in the fifth and another run in the sixth put the Titans ahead for good.
Bo Tabola became the eighth Titan to have five hits in a game as the catcher went 5-for-6 in the win. Tabola hit for the cycle in the game. The home run was his second of the season and he drove in four runs and scored three times in the game.
Richard Collazo went 3-for-5 with three RBI in his first start of the season. Kevin Smith also scored three times, going 2-for-4.
Eastern Florida State College will host Polk State College on Thursday at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne campus. Admission is free to games at Bruce Bochy Field and first pitch will be at 5 p.m. Fans can also watch the game live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
