
Women's basketball team hosts Santa Fe Saturday afternoon
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will be back at Titan Field House Saturday afternoon for a conference game against Santa Fe College.
The 23rd ranked Titans will host Santa Fe College in a game that tips off at 2 p.m. and it will be Community Credit Union Alumni Day at Titan Field House. It will be the second meeting this season for the teams as the Titans won the first game 85-56 on Dec. 18.
Eastern Florida State College comes into the matchup 6-2 in the Citrus Conference and has won two of the past three. The Titans have won 38 straight at Titan Field House and are led by E'Zaria Adams who has scored at least 13 points in the past three games and in six of the past seven games. Adams is averaging 11.8 points per game this season.
Teammate Karen Nimo comes into the game averaging 11.6 points per game and had 13 points Wednesday against St. Petersburg College. Jalei O'Neal is averaging 11 points per game and had 18 points against St. Petersburg College on Wednesday.
Santa Fe is coming off a one-point loss to Daytona State College in their last game and are now 3-4 in the conference. Madyson Burney has returned to the lineup for the Saints and has scored at least 10 points in both games. Burney had 24 points against Daytona State College and is averaging 13.1 points per game this season.
Teammate Micah Hannah is averaging 11.7 points per game this season and had 10 points against Daytona State College. Hannah had eight points in the first meeting with the Titans and has scored at least 10 points in eight games this season.
