
Women's basketball team hosts St. Petersburg in conference matchup Wednesday
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will be back at Titan Field House Wednesday evening for a Citrus Conference matchup with St. Petersburg College.
The Titans, who are ranked 23rd in the NJCAA Division I National Poll, head into the matchup 5-2 in the conference. Eastern Florida State College is coming off an overtime loss to Florida Southwestern State College on Saturday and look to bounce back against St. Petersburg College.
Eastern Florida State College won the first meeting 75-40 back in December and have won each of the past 10 meetings.
Sophomore E'Zaria Adams scored a career-high 26 points on Saturday and has scored at least 10 points in five of the past six games and is averaging 15 points per game in the seven conference games. Karen Nimo and Jalei O'Neal are averaging 11 and 10 points per game respectively.
St. Petersburg College lost a close conference game against Hillsborough Community College and look for their first conference win on Wednesday. Xaniya Jackson had 15 points on Saturday and has scored in double figures in each of the past two games. Leanna Pabst and Mia Lake come into Wednesday's game averaging 10 points apiece this season.
Wednesday night's game will tip off at 5:30 p.m. and admission is free to games at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus. Fans can also watch the game live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
