
Women's basketball team to play at PSC Classic this weekend
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will head to Pensacola for the PSC Classic this weekend.
The Titans, who are 5-0 and ranked 19th in the national poll, will play Tallahassee State College on Friday and then host Pensacola State College on Saturday.
Eastern Florida State College has eight players averaging at least eight points per game with freshman Karen Nimo leading the team, averaging 14.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while Lynn Rieth is averaging 12 points and E'Zaria Adams averages 9.2 points for the Titans.
Tallahassee comes into the tournament 2-3 on the season and is led by the duo of Aiyana Sam and Santianna Davy. Sam is averaging 12 points per game while Davy is averaging 10.5 points.
Pensacola State College is 4-1 this season and is receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division I national poll. The Pirates lone loss is to No. 8 College of Southern Idaho and are led by the duo of Audreonia Benson who is averaging 16.8 points and Jaida McDonald who comes in averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds per game.
The Titans will be at Titan Field House for the first time this season on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. for the home opener.
