Women's basketball team has busy week on the road
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will have a busy week of games on the road.
The Titans, who are ranked 20th in the NJCAA Division I preseason National Poll, will begin the week at DME National on Tuesday before heading up north for the TSC Classic. Eastern Florida State College will play South Georgia Tech and East Georgia State College in Tallahassee.
South Georgia Tech comes into the tournament 2-0 after defeating Miami Dade College and St. Petersburg College over the weekend. They will play the Titans on Friday at 6 p.m.
East Georgia State College is also 2-0 this season heading into the weekend as they have broken the 100-point barrier once and are averaging 87.5 points per game. Charlese McClendon and Celeste Scott are each averaging 14.5 points per game.
After two games the Titans are averaging 114 points per game and have been led by Karen Nimo, who is averaging 17 points and 7.5 rebounds after two games while teammate Jazelle Young is averaging 13.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
Eastern Florida State College will have two more road games next week before the home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 19 against DME National. Admission to games at Titan Field House is free.
