
Four women basketball players named to all-conference team
Four members of the Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team have been named to the All-Citrus Conference teams.
The Titans, who finished the regular season 21-8 and 13-5 in the conference, had three players make the first team and one made the second team.
Sophomores Ashleigh Battle, E'Zaria Adams and freshman Jalei O'Neal were all named to the first team while Jazelle Young was named to the second team.
Adams made the all-conference team for the second straight season after making the second team in her freshman season. The sophomore guard from West Palm Beach averaged 11.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game this season for the Titans.
Battle finished the regular season strong, scoring at least 11 points in six of the final seven games heading into the tournament. The point guard from Sunrise, Florida averaged 8.0 points, 3.6 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game this year running the point for the Titans.
O'Neal made the first team as a freshman as the forward from Orlando started 25 games averaging 10.6 points and 5.1 rebounds.
Young was named to the second team as the freshman forward from Chicago averaged seven points and 6.8 rebounds in 23 games this season.
Eastern Florida State College has punched their ticket to the FCSAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament beginning Wednesday at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville.
