
Jason Mack named FCSAA Division I Player of Week
Eastern Florida State College's Jason Mack was named the FCSAA Division I Player of the Week on Tuesday.
The freshman third baseman helped the Titans to three straight wins against the State College of Florida-Manatee last week, going 7-for-11 with seven RBI and scored three times in the series.
Mack had multiple hits in each of the three games finishing the weekend with three hits and drove in three runs in the Titans 13-10 victory.
For the season, Mack is hitting .368 in 45 games with a home run and has scored 33 times and driven in 33 runs. He also has three stolen bases.
In the past 10 games the Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina native is hitting .555 with at least one hit in eight of those 10 games. He has driven in 10 runs and scored seven times during the stretch.
Mack becomes the first Titans player to win the FCSAA Player of the Week award this season.
He currently has a four-game hit streak heading into this week's series with Miami Dade College. The Titans will travel to Miami Dade on Thursday for a 6 p.m. game before coming to Bruce Bochy Field for a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m.
