Bio

Mitchell Gallagher joined the Eastern Florida baseball program four years ago as the first hire under Head Coach Brown, taking on the role of Recruiting Coordinator as the duo began the task of rebuilding the program from the ground up. In 2025 he was named the interim head coach of the program.

Since then, Gallagher has played a key role in Eastern Florida State College's rise to becoming a competitive force once again.

In year four, Eastern Florida reached a major milestone by making the postseason for the first time in eight years.

Gallagher's recruiting efforts have been a cornerstone of the program’s turnaround. Over the past four years, Eastern Florida has produced 24 Division I commits and three MLB Draft selections. The most recent graduating class featured 11 D1 signees, with several underclassmen also moving on to top-tier Division II and NAIA programs.

Prior to Eastern Florida, Gallagher began his coaching career at Palomar College, where he helped guide the team to a conference championship. He then served as a Graduate Assistant at Houston Baptist University, earning his MBA while continuing to develop as a coach and recruiter.

As a player, Gallagher competed at a high level, being part of:

  • 4 Conference Championship Teams
  • 4 Regional Final Appearances
  • 1 Super Regional Appearance

Coach Gallagher brings a championship mindset, a strong eye for talent, and a passion for player development to Eastern Florida, continuing to elevate the program year after year.
