
Baseball team hosts Daytona State in conference doubleheader
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team will host Daytona State College in a Citrus Conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
The Titans, who are 12-13 in the conference, look to rebound after falling in the series opener on Thursday.
Daytona State College scored three times in the fifth inning to top the Titans 6-4 in Daytona and now the series comes to Bruce Bochy Field for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
William Rollings had three hits and drove in four runs for the Falcons in the win and has now had multi-hit games in two of the past four games.
Eastern Florida State College is hitting .297 as a team led by sophomore Jeff Davis who is hitting .362 in 28 games with three home runs. Teammate Shane Thomas is hitting .353 while Kevin Smith has a 344 average as the leadoff hitter for the Titans.
