
Women's golf team opens Oldfield Intercollegiate Monday
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team will compete in the Oldfield Intercollegiate in Okatie, South Carolina beginning Monday.
The Titans will be competing in their third tournament of the season and have finished in the top four of the first two tournaments. Eastern Florida State College freshman Mila Tang is ranked third in the NJCAA Division I individual rankings with teammate Jenna Barnett ranked 17th and Ann Burel is 19th.
The Oldfield Intercollegiate has a 15-team field featuring some ranked teams in both NAIA and NCAA Division II rankings.
SCAD Savannah comes into the tournament ranked third in the NAIA national rankings while Truett McConnell University is ranked 14th and Coastal Georgia is ranked 21st.
Carson Newman comes in ranked 31st in the NCAA Division II national rankings with Ferris State University coming in 36th in the poll.
The Titans are currently ranked fifth in the NJCAA Division I national rankings.
The tournament will be hosted by USC Beaufort at Oldfield Club and teams will play 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 scheduled for Tuesday morning.
