
Women's golf team tied for first at Oldfield Intercollegiate
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team is tied for first after two rounds at the Oldfield Intercollegiate Monday in South Carolina.
The Titans are tied with SCAD Savannah at 35-over after two rounds. Eastern Florida State College shot a 301 in the first round and then a 310 in the afternoon.
Freshman Mila Tang continued her strong play, shooting a 4-under in the first round with four birdies and no bogeys. She shot 5-over in the afternoon and is in first place overall at 1-over.
Teammate Jenna Barnett is tied for 12th overall after shooting 1-over in the first round.
Emma Parker is tied for 23rd overall after shooting 79 and then a 78 while Brittany Odic is in 29th after bouncing back with a 75 in the second round. Ann Burel is in 34th place.
Cayden Challacombe shot an 88 and an 84 as an individual.
"Very tough conditions all day. We played a very good first round and struggled during round two," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "Super first round by Mila and solid follow-up round by Brittany. Tomorrow will be a good test for everyone."
Carson-Newman is in third place with Limestone and UIndy tied for fourth.
The Titans will play the final round on Tuesday morning at the Oldfield Club.
