
Women's golf team in third at UNG Bracket Challenge
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team opened the UNG Bracket Challenge with rounds of 314 and 308 on Monday in Homer, Georgia.
The Titans are in third in the tournament filled with NCAA Division II teams at the Chimney Oaks Golf Club.
Mila Tang is fifth overall playing well after a slow start to the day. After shooting three over 39 after nine holes she finished the first round with a 1-over 37 on the back nine. Then in the afternoon Tang shot 1-over 37 on the front nine and a 2-under on the back nine to finish 1-under in the round.
Ann Burel is in 15th overall after shooting rounds of 80 and 77 while Emma Parker is in 16th shooting 7-over in both rounds. Brittany Odic is in 17th place, shooting 7-over in the first round and 9-over in the afternoon. Jenna Barnett struggled in the first round, shooting 12-over and then had a nine over in the second round.
Lander is in first place after shooting even par as a team in the first round and then 6-over in the second round.
The Titans will play Columbus State on Tuesday morning.
