Men's golf team heads to final round of national tournament
The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team is in 21st place heading into Friday's final round of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Newton, Kansas.
The Titans shot a 304 on Thursday and are at 917 after three rounds.
Sophomore Hugo Griesheimer continued to play well, shooting 1-over par 73 in the third round at Sand Creek Station. Griesheimer had a birdie and a bogey on the front and a birdie and two bogeys on the back nine in the round and is 6-over for the tournament and in 30th overall.
Danny Byers, Masen McKain and Horace Pennix each shot 5-over 77 while Micke Laurelli finished with a 78.
Eastern Florida State College will tee off in the final round of the national tournament beginning at 9:20 a.m. in Kansas.
