Women's basketball team cruises to 16th straight win
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team cruised to their 16th straight win, defeating Indian River State College on the road Saturday.
The No. 15 ranked Titans defeated the Pioneers 83-38 in a Citrus Conference game, improving to 12-0 in the conference and 17-3 overall. Eastern Florida State College has now won 36 straight conference games.
The Titans jumped out to an early lead, leading 18-7 after the first quarter and led 38-19 at halftime against the Pioneers, who are now 7-4 in the conference and 13-7 overall.
Eastern Florida State College outscored Indian River State College in every quarter as 11 players scored in the contest. The Titans did not miss a free throw in the game, finishing 23-for-23.
Sophomore Amelia Hassett led the attack with 21 points, nine rebounds and five assists while teammate Kristiana Kulackovska had 16 points and seven rebounds. E'Zaria Adams finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the win.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Hillsborough Community College Wednesday for a Citrus Conference game beginning at 5:30 p.m.
