Men's basketball team hosts Florida Southwestern Wednesday
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team is back at Titan Field House for a big Citrus Conference game Wednesday night.
The Titans will host Florida Southwestern State College at 7:30 p.m. at Titan Field House. The Bucs come into the matchup 5-2 in the conference, one game behind the Titans in the conference standings.
Eastern Florida State College is ranked 21st in the NJCAA Division I national poll and come into Wednesday night's game 18-3 overall and 7-1 in the conference. The Titans won the first meeting at Florida Southwestern 74-68 as Emondrek Erkins-Ford scored a season-high 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the win. The sophomore forward is averaging 16.3 points per game this season and has scored in double figures in 20 of the 21 games this season.
K'jei Parker had 21 points for the Bucs in the loss and is averaging 16.9 points per game this season. Parker has scored in double figures in each of the past 14 games and has scored at least 19 in three of the past four.
The game will also feature a couple of players coming off a season-high performance on Saturday.
Florida Southwestern's Ahmed Soumahoro came back after missing two games and had a season-high 22 points against Daytona State College on Saturday. The loss snapped a five-game win streak for the Bucs.
Eastern Florida State College's Corey Caulker scored a career-high 28 points on Saturday in the Titans win against Polk State College.
Wednesday night's game will begin around 7:30 p.m. and admission is free to games at Titan Field House. The game will also be shown live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
It will also be the final Alumni Game Day of the basketball season as there will be games and giveaways at halftime.
