
Men's basketball team hosts Miami Dade in key conference game on WEFS-TV
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will be back at Titan Field House Wednesday night for a key Citrus Conference game against Miami Dade College.
The 25th ranked Titans will take the court around 7:30 p.m. following the women's game against a Sharks team that also has just one loss in the conference standings.
The game will be broadcast live locally on WEFS-TV which is channel 9 or 455 on Spectrum, 68 on DirecTV, 30 on Dish and 68 on AT&T Uverse. Admission to games at Titan Field House is free and it will be an Alumni Game Day with giveaways, a halftime competition brough to you by the Community Credit Union.
The Sharks, who are 12-6 overall and 3-1 in the conference, have a trio of players averaging at least 10 points a game this season. Sophomore guard Faheim Saintleger Meran leads the way, averaging 15.3 points per game which is among the top 10 in the state. Teammate Hassan Belkaddar is averaging 12.8 points while Jamaal Morris is averaging 10.9.
Eastern Florida State College comes into the game winner of eight of the past nine games and is averaging 85.3 points per game this season. Sophomore forward Emondrek Erkins-Ford is averaging 17.2 points per game which is tied for second in the FCSAA. Teammates Fredy-Salam Sylla and Corey Caulker are each averaging 12 points per game while Felipe Patino comes in averaging 10.6 points.
