
Men's basketball team travels to Indian River in conference game
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will hit the road for a Citrus Conference game at Indian River State College.
The 21st ranked Titans come into the matchup 3-0 in the conference and have won seven straight games after defeating Santa Fe College 77-60.
Sophomore Emondrek Erkins-Ford is coming off another big game for the Titans, scoring 18 points and grabbing nine rebounds and is averaging 16.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per game this season.
Teammate Fredy-Salam Sylla has recorded two straight double-doubles and is coming off an 11-point, 12 rebound game against Santa Fe. Sylla is averaging 12.8 points per game and 7.3 rebounds this season while Corey Caulker is averaging 12 points and Felipe Patino is scoring 11 points per game.
Indian River State College is off to a slow start in conference play, losing the first two games. The Pioneers are 7-9 overall this season and have five players averaging double figures this season. Mason Brown leads the team, averaging 16.7 points per game this season while both Amari Williams and Jeremiah Whitmore are averaging 12 points. Aleksander Mitrovic is averaging 11.4 points this season but has been even better in conference games, averaging 13.5 points. Marius Canery is scoring 10.6 points per game this season for the Pioneers.
