The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team lost the Region 8 Tournament Final Sunday night at Daytona State College.
The No. 14 Titans lost to No. 9 Falcons 6-0 as Daytona State College won the tournament title for the first time.
Daytona State College came out strong and scored twice in the first 12 minutes and led 3-0 at halftime. The Falcons would score three more times in the second half to beat the Titans for the second time in three games this season.
Sienna Gillespie had a hat trick and assisted on another goal for Daytona State College and was named the Most Outstanding Player.
Both teams will advance to the district tournament on Friday at Eastern Florida State College. There will be four games on Friday with the championship games for both the men and women on Saturday evening. Admission will be $5.
