Men's soccer team shuts out Southwestern Illinois
The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team picked up a shutout victory against Southwestern Illinois College on Thursday afternoon at Orlando Health Stadium.
The No. 8 ranked Titans defeated the Blue Storm 1-0, scoring in the middle of the second half to improve to 8-1-2 on the season.
With 21 minutes and 16 seconds left in the game Liam Kuemmitz finds Takuma Kiuchi who puts it in the corner of the net. The 1-0 lead would hold as the defense held Southwestern Illinois at bay.
It was the first goal of the season for Kiuchi who came off the bench to provide the spark for the Titans.
Eastern Florida State College will play No. 7 Miami Dade College Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Orlando Health Stadium. Admission to the game is free and will be shown live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
