
Men's soccer team rolls in season opener
The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team got off to a fast start, picking up a 6-1 win over Blinn College on Thursday night in the season opener.
The Titans scored three times in the first half and was up 5-0 before allowing a goal to Blinn College with under 10 minutes left in the contest at the Blinn College Kickoff Classic.
Sophomore midfielder Adrian Adrian recorded a hat trick in Texas, scoring three times to lead the attack. Mukisa Emmanuel, Isaak Torossian and Stephen Gilbert also had goals in the win as the No. 9-ranked Titans win their opener for the second straight season.
It was Adrian's first hat trick at Eastern Florida State College and first by a Titan since Daniele Verdirosi last season.
The Titans finished with 20 shots on goal while Blinn College managed just two against the EFSC defense.
Eastern Florida State College will play No. 17 Coastal Bend on Saturday night at 8 p.m. in Texas.
