
Thomas Gray steps down as head men's basketball coach
Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Thomas Gray has stepped down after one season with the Titans.
Gray led the Titans to a 23-7 record overall and went 12-4 in the Citrus Conference. The team was 12-1 at home and was ranked in the NJCAA Division I National poll for 13 weeks.
The Titans qualified for the FCSAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship in Niceville as the No. 3 seed and lost in the quarterfinals to Pensacola State College.
Gray, who was the 12th men's basketball coach in Titans history, decided to move closer to home to be with family.
Eastern Florida State College is finalizing the hiring of a new coach and will make an announcement in the next month.
