Men's cross country set for championships Friday in Tallahassee

The Eastern Florida State College men's cross country team will compete in the FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Cross Country Championships Friday at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.

The men's race will kick off the morning of racing, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in Tallahassee with awards to follow the women's race at 10:15 a.m.

Seven teams will compete in the 8K race as the Titans will battle Seminole State College for the Division I title and the other five teams will compete for the Division II title.

Dayton Law has had the top time for a Titans group that has five runners finishing in under 30 minutes in the final race of the regular season. Teammates Charlie Dickinson, Josh Ingalls and Gabriel Garcia all have run 8k races under 28 minutes.

The teams will advance to the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament on Nov. 12.
