The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team won their sixth straight game, defeating Hillsborough Community College in a Citrus Conference game on the road Wednesday.
The No. 18 ranked Titans led from the start in picking up their sixth conference win of the season, defeating Hillsborough Community College 66-53. Eastern Florida State College is now 18-3 overall and 6-1 in the conference.
Up 10 midway through the second half, Luca Colceag scored and was fouled, completing a three-point play, then Carlos Cortijo made a three and Colceag scored again to extend the lead to 18 points.
Sophomore Owen Aquino led the Titans with 13 points while Colceag scored all of his 11 points in the second half. Afan Trnka finished with nine points and Emondrek Erkins-Ford also had nine points off the bench
Eastern Florida State College will host Polk State College on Saturday afternoon at Titan Field House. The game will begin at 2 p.m. and admission is free.
