Women's tennis team named an ITA All-Academic Team
The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team on Friday.
The women's tennis team finished with a 3.29 GPA and is one of 17 programs that were recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Sophomore Elena Martinez Prado, who was named the FCSAA Vicki Schnurr award winner, was named a scholar athlete on Friday. Teammates Dasha Moskalenko, Sara Valentina Ladino and Laura Yans were also named top scholar athletes by the ITA.
The Titans finished fifth in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
It is the fourth straight year that the women's tennis program was honored by the ITA for being one of the top academic teams.
Overall, 94 JUCO women's student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
