The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team won its seventh straight game Saturday afternoon.
The 21st-ranked Titans improved to 19-3 overall and 6-0 in the Central Conference with an 80-63 win over Santa Fe.
Freshman Shadaria Smith had a career-high 27 points with 16 points coming in the third quarter as the Titans outscored the Saints 23-12 in the quarter to open up a close game.
The teams were tied after the first quarter, 18-18 but the Titans went on an 18-7 run in the second quarter to take the lead. Santa Fe finished strong and the Titans went into halftime with a four-point lead, 38-34.
Kaitlyn Sanders finished with 15 points while Tatiana Beaumont had 12 points in the win. Rapuluchi Ngorka grabbed 21 rebounds which tied a career high for the forward. Ngorka finished one point away from a double-double, scoring nine points in the game.
Eastern Florida State College will host Daytona State College on Wednesday night in a Central Conference game. Wednesday night's game will be broadcast live on WEFS-TV and admission is free to games at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
