Men's basketball team hosts Daytona State College on Sophomore Day
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team hosts Daytona State College in a key Mid-Florida Conference matchup Saturday at 4 p.m. at Titan Field House.
Saturday's game will also be Sophomore Day at Titan Field House as the team will honor seven sophomores after the game.
Osayi Osifo, Jonathan Ned, Mikal Starks, Johnny Bernard, Noah Louis, Calvin Poulina and Kaleb Price will all be playing their final regular-season game at Titan Field House.
The Titans sit in second place in the conference with two games remaining and have beaten the Falcons in the first two meetings this season, but both games came right down to the final minute and were decided by two points in triple overtime and three points.
Eastern Florida State College is 6-4 in the conference and 17-11 overall after falling short against conference champion College of Central Florida on the road. Guard Brian Dugazon is averaging 29 points per game against Daytona State College this season and nine points per game in 22 games.
Daytona State College is 3-6 in the conference and 14-12 overall and are coming off a win over Santa Fe College as Marco Morency scored 25 points for the Falcons.
The Titans come into the matchup with Daytona State College winning four straight and are 8-2 in the past 10 meetings. Admission to Titan Field House is free and you can watch Saturday's game online on the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
