Men's basketball team hosts Santa Fe in conference matchup Saturday
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team heads into Saturday's Mid-Florida Conference game with Santa Fe on a three-game winning streak.
The Titans, who are 16-9 overall and 5-2 in the conference, host Santa Fe at 4 p.m. Saturday at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
Eastern Florida State College is 7-3 in games decided by three points or less this season including a one-point win over Santa Fe earlier this season. In that win freshman Brian Dugazon hit a big 3-pointer and sophomore Jonathan Ned finished with a season-high 16 points
The Titans are tied for first place with the College of Central Florida heading into the weekend and are doing it with a strong defense, allowing just 64.5 points per game this season which is second in Region 8.
Santa Fe comes into the game 10-13 overall and 2-4 in the conference but have won two of the last three games heading into Saturday's matchup.
Admission to Titan Field House for basketball games is free and Saturday's game is schedule to tip off at 4 p.m.
