The Eastern Florida State College could not find its shooting touch Saturday afternoon in Utah, losing for the second straight day at the Snow College Invitational in Ephraim, Utah.
The Titans lost to Utah State Eastern 61-51 in the team's final game in Utah.
The Titans shot just 15 percent from the floor in the first half but played well defensively and went to halftime trailing 28-12. Eastern Florida State College shot better in the second half and came back from a 20-point deficit to cut it to nine at one point late in the game.
But Utah State Eastern hit some key baskets down the stretch to hang on for their first win in the tournament.
Eastern Florida State College sophomore Johnny Bernard finished with 17 points. The 2-5 start is the worst start since the 2008-09 season.
The Titans will head home to prepare for a road game Tuesday night, traveling to ASA Miami for a non-conference game beginning at 6 p.m.
