Six women's soccer players named to All-Region 8 Teams

Eastern Florida State College women's soccer player Lili Baidoe was named the FCSAA Freshman of the Year on Friday.

Baidoe finished the regular season with 12 goals and five assists and has scored in each of the past four games. The Liverpool, England native is a freshman forward who started 11 of the 12 games this season.

Baidoe, Tiggi Gent and Pheobe Wilson all made the FCSAA All-Conference first team which was announced on Friday.

Gent is leading the Titans offense this season with 29 points this season. The sophomore forward from Manchester, England has eight goals and has seven assists this season. She has started all 12 games this season for the Titans.

Wilson, a freshman from Freeport, Bahamas, has been a steady force in the midfield this season and has three goals and three assists. She has scored twice in the past three games.

Kanon Tai, Sydney Aldeghi and Thea Patuel were all named to the second team.

Tai, a freshman midfielder from Japan, has started every game this season for the Titans and has four assists.

Aldeghi, a sophomore midfielder from Indialantic, has stepped into a starting role and excelled this season for the Titans. Aldeghi has two assists in 10 starts this season.

Patuel, a freshman defender from Denmark, has started 11 games this season as a center defenseman and been one of the leaders of the defense this season.

The Titans are playing Miami Dade in the semifinals of the FCSAA Region 8 Tournament at 3 p.m. at Daytona State College.
