Men's golf team in seventh at the Chuck Kalanick Memorial

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team is in seventh place after two rounds of the Chuck Kalanick Memorial in Union Grove, Alabama.

The Titans shot a 306 on Monday at the Cherokee Ridge Country Club and is 18-over for the tournament.

Freshman Horace Pennix shot 1-under 71 and is in eighth place overall while teammate Masen McKain shot a 78 and is in 18th place. Micke Laurelli also shot a 78 in the second round and is at 10-over for the tournament. Hugo Griesheimer had a 79 while Jamie Chepenik shot an 81.

"Tough day for everyone except Horace, good solid round by him," Eastern Florida State College men's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "We just haven't played well as a team and this course exposes poor play."

Central Alabama Country Club leads the tournament at 14-under after shooting 9-under 279 on Monday. Jefferson State CC is in second with Southern Union is third and Wallace State is in fourth.
