Men's basketball team hosts FSC-Jacksonville Saturday on Sophomore Day

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will host the Florida State College at Jacksonville Saturday in the final regular-season game.

The Titans, who are 20-9 overall and 10-4 in the Central Conference, have wrapped up a spot in the Region VIII State Tournament beginning March 9 in Niceville, Florida.

The team will also honor the three sophomores that will be playing their final game at Titan Field House.

Brandon Garcia, a guard from Weston, has scored 425 points and had 157 assists and 95 rebounds in 44 games at EFSC.

Andres Burney, a forward from Alabama, has scored 484 points and grabbed 274 rebounds in his only season with the Titans. He has 30 steals and 24 blocked shots this season and has recorded 13 double-doubles.

Cameron Wickline, a guard from Melbourne, has played in 50 games over his career with the Titans. Coming off the bench, he has 62 rebounds and 11 steals to go with 88 points.

Eastern Florida State College comes into Saturday's contest allowing teams just 72.3 points per game which is seventh-best in the state. The Titans are third in the state in rebounding, grabbing 44.3 rebounds per game this season.  

The Florida State College at Jacksonville comes into the matchup 8-19 and will be playing their final game of the season. The Blue Wave have won two of the past three games.

Saturday's game will tip off at 4 p.m. with the sophomores being honored after the game. The game will also be shown live online at EFSC Titans YouTube page.
