Men's basketball team loses on the road

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team lost on the road Wednesday night, losing 64-55 to the Florida State College at Jacksonville in a Central Conference matchup.

The Titans, who are now 11-3 overall and remain in first place at 9-1 in the conference, were down by 16 points with six minutes. But they would score the next nine points as sophomores Brody Boyer and Nick Alves scored all nine points during the run.

It looked as though they would cut the lead even more, but could not get the big shot to fall down the stretch to get any closer.

Alves finished with a team-high 14 points while both Ja'Darius Harris and Christyon Eugene each had 12 points in the loss.

The Titans will be off until next Wednesday, travelling to St. Petersburg College for a conference game at 7 p.m. They will be back at Titan Field House March 22 against Daytona State College.
