Men's basketball team beats Hillsborough, remains perfect in conference

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team won its 10th straight game, defeating Hillsborough Community College Monday night on the road.

The Titans used seven 3-pointers to break the game open in the second half, recording a 61-48 victory to remain unbeaten in the Central Conference at 9-0.

Christyon Eugene and Ja'Darius Harris each hit 3-pointers with under 12 minutes remaining to give the Titans an 11-point lead. Brody Boyer would hit two 3-pointers and Lovre Zaja hit his second of the half down the stretch to keep the double-digit lead until the end. 

Zaja had a team-high 13 points on four 3-pointers and Eugene finished with 11 points. 

Eastern Florida State College will travel to the Florida State College at Jacksonville Wednesday night for a conference game tipping off at 7:30 p.m.
